Who are you?
My name is John Kanost. I'm 33 years old, I live in York, Pennsylvania, and I've been a designer since I was five, if you count Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys and Legos. I've been a professional designer since 1998, and started designing web sites the same year. If that's way more information than you wanted, then I suggest just reading the first sentence. Whoops, too late!
Why is your site called "Lacello Design?"
Well, it all started in 1998, the year I married my beautiful wife! We wanted a shared e-mail address that reflected both our personalities in some way. My wife loves to sing (she minored in music, voice proficiency) and I've been playing the cello since I was ten. "La" for singing, smoosh it together with "cello," and there you have it. Lacello! It makes perfect sense!
How do you pronounce "Lacello?"
Since it's a made-up word, you can pronounce it however you want. When I say it, though, it's pronounced luh-chel-low.
What's up with all these funny drawings?
They're just there to give some fun visual interest. I like 'em!
Are these questions really frequently asked?
No. To be honest, nobody's ever asked me any of them. Well, at least not directly in relation to this web site. Although I do frequently get asked the first one when I'm out fighting crime in the dead of night.
